Dental Exams & Cleanings
Routine dental visits are one of the most important parts of maintaining your oral health. During your visit, we evaluate your teeth and gums, look for changes or areas of concern, and discuss anything that may require attention.
Periodontal Care
Healthy gums provide the foundation for healthy teeth. Gum disease can cause inflammation, bleeding, bone loss, and eventually tooth loss if it progresses.
Night Guards
Grinding and clenching can place significant stress on teeth, fillings, crowns, and the muscles of the jaw. A custom night guard may be recommended to help protect your teeth while you sleep.
Dental Second Opinions
Being told that you need dental treatment can sometimes leave you with questions—especially when the treatment is extensive or you are unsure about your options.
Common questions
How often should I have a dental exam and cleaning?
For many patients, visits every six months are appropriate. Some patients, particularly those with a history of gum disease or other dental concerns, may benefit from more frequent visits. We will recommend a schedule based on your individual needs.
Why do my gums bleed when I brush or floss?
Bleeding can be a sign of inflammation, often related to plaque buildup or gum disease. Persistent bleeding should be evaluated rather than ignored.
How do I know if I grind my teeth?
Some people notice jaw soreness or headaches, while others have no symptoms. Wear patterns, small fractures, or changes to the teeth may also suggest grinding or clenching.
