Emergency Dentistry
Dental problems do not always happen at convenient times. If you develop a severe toothache, swelling, broken tooth, or another urgent dental concern, call JDental of Chalfont.
We will make every effort to evaluate dental emergencies promptly, determine the source of the problem, and discuss what can be done to get you comfortable.
Urgent concerns we see: Toothaches · Broken Teeth · Cracked Teeth · Dental Infections · Swelling · Lost Fillings · Lost or Broken Crowns · Dental Trauma · Teeth Requiring Emergency Extraction
Root Canal Therapy
When the inside of a tooth becomes inflamed or infected, root canal therapy may be recommended to relieve discomfort and help save the natural tooth.
Tooth Extractions
Sometimes a tooth cannot be predictably restored or keeping it may create additional problems. When an extraction is appropriate, our focus is on keeping you comfortable and making the experience as straightforward as possible.
Bone Grafting & Socket Preservation
After a tooth is removed, the bone in that area naturally begins to change. In certain situations, placing bone grafting material at the time of extraction may help preserve the shape and volume of the area.
Common questions
What counts as a dental emergency?
Severe pain, facial swelling, dental trauma, a broken tooth, or signs of infection should generally be evaluated promptly. If you are unsure whether your situation is urgent, call our office and tell us what is happening.
Can you see me if I am not already a patient?
Yes. We welcome new patients experiencing dental emergencies.
What happens during an emergency visit?
Our first priority is to understand what is causing the problem. Our team will examine the area and may take X-rays when necessary. We will then explain what we find and discuss the options for addressing the problem.
